U.S. administration officials reportedly confirmed that the nuclear test site North Korean leader Kim Jong-un committed to destroying during the Washington-Pyongyang summit is the Cholsan County, North Pyongan Province site. 

According to a CBS News report on Wednesday, the Cholsan site, which is sometimes referred to as the Sohae Satellite Launching Ground, has been used by the North to test liquid propellant engines for its long range ballistic missiles. 

CBS also cited experts who say the site is believed to be where the Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM) was developed and has the capability for space and ICBM launches. 

During his summit with U.S. President Donald Trump in Singapore last week, Kim agreed to destroy a missile engine test stand soon but no set timeline or location for the demolition have been revealed.
