Trump: Won't Rush Negotiations with N. Korea

U.S. President Donald Trump says he won't rush negotiations with North Korea to dismantle its nuclear weapons program, comparing the process to cooking a turkey.

Speaking at a rally in Fargo, North Dakota on Wednesday, Trump touted his historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un that yielded a commitment to work toward the "complete denuclearization" of the Korean Peninsula.

He said that the U.S. has things cooking now, but when people rush it, it's not going to be as good, saying it's like rushing the turkey out of the stove.

Trump added that the more they rush, the worse it's going to be, and the longer they take, the better.

He also said that the U.S. was very close to going to war and 30 to 50 million people could have lost their lives, referring to the threat posed by North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

Trump added that he and Kim had a great relationship and great chemistry together.
