Koreas Hold Two More Friendly Basketball Matches

South Korean athletes competed against their North Korean rivals on the second day of inter-Korean friendly basketball matches in Pyongyang on Thursday.

During a women's and men's game at the Ryugyong Chung Ju-yung Gymnasium, the teams were not be labeled South and North but “blue” and “red.” No national flags or anthems were used.

On the first day of the friendlies on Wednesday, athletes formed teams named “peace” and prosperity” made up of a mixture of South and North Korean players.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, who is known to be an avid basketball fan, did not attend any games, reportedly as he was touring rural areas for inspection.
