Two Koreas Hold Sports Talks in Pyongyang

South and North Korea held sports talks in Pyongyang just before midnight Thursday.
South Korean sports officials have been in the North Korean capital since Tuesday for inter-Korean friendly basketball matches. The final games were played earlier Thursday.
In the talks that began at 11:50 p.m. at the Koryo Hotel in Pyongyang, South Korean Vice Sports Minister Roh Tae-kang sat down with North Korean Vice Sports Minister Won Kil-u. Each side had five representatives.
The two sides discussed North Korea's participation in the ITTF World Tour Platinum Korean Open table tennis tournament set for later this month in Daejeon in South Korea, and in the ISSF World Shooting Championship in Changwon in August.
They also discussed details of their planned joint march at the opening ceremony of the Asian Games in Jakarta in August.
Vice Sports Minister Roh will announce the outcome of the talks on Friday morning.
