Kim Jong-un Calls in Overseas Mission Heads to Pyongyang

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has reportedly called in the heads of the North's overseas embassies and missions to Pyongyang.
According to sources familiar with North Korea affairs on Thursday, the chiefs of the North's embassies and other missions were recently brought in for what is thought to be an ambassadorial meeting.
The sources said that it has not been confirmed yet whether the meeting is a regular event or a specially arranged one.
A government official in Seoul said that the last reported ambassadorial meeting was in July 2015.
There is speculation that the meeting was convened for Kim to provide directions and encourage hard work ahead of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the North Korean regime on September ninth.
