N. Korea, US to Hold New Round of Pre-Summit Talks Next Week

South Korea's presidential office said Sunday that North Korea and the U.S. plan to hold a new round of talks in a third Asian nation next week to prepare for the second summit of their leaders.
Presidential spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom said during a news briefing that a new round of working-level talks will be held sometime "in the week beginning February 17th in a third nation in Asia."
U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Biegun held the first round of pre-summit negotiations with his North Korean counterpart, Kim Hyok-chol, during his three-day visit to Pyongyang from Wednesday through Friday.
Biegun held a series of meetings with South Korean officials before and after his Pyongyang trip before heading home on Sunday.
