Shindong of idol group Super Junior will be trying his hand at acting. He is cast in a KBS drama “Single Dad is in Love” to be aired on February 18^th. This human comedy is about the lives of a single dad and his seven-year-old child. Oh Ji-ho will play the leading role of Kang Poong-ho.

Shingdong’s part in the drama is Kang Chil-gu, brother of the main character Poong-ho. Both Chilgu and Poong-ho were raised in an orphanage and Chil-gu works as an exterminator. He is a big talker and pokes his nose into everyone’s affairs, but he loves his big brother and would do anything for him.

To show his seriousness at acting, Shingdong will use his real name Shin Dong-hee on the show. He said that the character of Chilgu is just like him in many ways, such as being naïve, yet determined. Although he admits that he’s worried about this career change, Shingdong is determined to make it work and looking forward to the first shoot.
