Asahi Newspaper: Many Korean Singers Remaking Japanese Songs
Japan’s leading daily Asahi recently reported on the new single from singer/actress Hyun Young, which is a remake of a Japanese pop song.

On the 4th, Asahi reported that the j-pop girl group Morning Musume’s song “Love Revolution 21” had been remade into a Korean song. The newspaper reported that Hyun Young was the first to remake the song, which hadn’t received much attention outside of Japan.

The daily introduced Hyun Young as an all-round entertainer who is studying Japanese in order to reach her Japanese fans. The singer dons a Barbie costume for her new single.
The newspaper also reported that other Korean stars were remaking popular Japanese songs.
Local singer Ayumi had a hit with Koda Kumi’s “Cutie Honey”; Position remade Ozaki Yutaka’s “I Love You”; Koyanagi Yuki’s “Counting Our Kisses” was remade by Hwayobi; and Park Hyo-shin remade Nakashima Yuki’s “Snow Flower/Snowflake” into the hit song from the drama “I’m Sorry, I Love You.”
