In a speech to 45 Harvard business students on the 5th, founder of SM Entertainment Lee Su-man announced pop singer BoA’s plans to advance into the US market.
From the SM Entertainment’s head office in Chungdam-dong, Seoul, Lee alluded to BoA’s advancement into Hollywood as an actress.
In 2005, BoA was offered a role in the popular MBC drama “Goong/ The Palace,” as well as a movie role with Chinese basketball player Yao Ming.
Fans are eager to find out when the popular singer will debut in Hollywood on the heels of fellow-Hallyu star Rain’s participation in the Wachowski brother’s film adaptation of “Speed Racer.”
Other local artists Kang-ta, Go Ara, Lee Yun-hui, and Super Junior attended Lee Su-man’s lecture given to the Harvard business students on Hallyu (the Korean Wave) management strategies and systems leading the business of Asian culture.
