SM Entertainment will soon become the first Asian talent agency to have a headlining event at the iconic New York Madison Square Garden.
The company is currently in the middle of working on a grand-scale ad there as well.
SM artists will be performing an SM Town concert on October 23rd at 7 PM (local time) at the main stage of New York's Madison Square Garden for an audience of about 15,000 people. Sponsored by LG Electronics, SM is also seeking to put up a large-sized ad for the event in the bustling Times Square, featuring music video clips of artists like BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, and Girls Generation.
This is the first Asian artist concert at the main stage of the venue.
The closest past instance was when singer Rain performed his own headlining concert at the Madison Square Garden Theatre in 2006. This will also be the first show where the group Girls Generation will first perform the English version of their brand new single "The Boys".
Concert scenes, backstage clips, and glimpses into the stars' departures and arrivals will be shown through SM's official youtube channel.
