90’s Trends for Spring 2016
Today I’m going to introduce tips on how to wear the 90s trend—one of the hottest things in fashion for Spring 2016.

The Spring 2016 runways from New York to Milan and London to Paris and Seoul brought us all sorts of trends, getting us inspired for the new season ahead. Among other hot trends, one decade in particular seems to be this season's muse—the 1990s. Fashion indeed has been going nostalgic these past couple of seasons and according to fashion reports, the 90s are the go-to decade in fashion, officially becoming the biggest story of the season. Minimalism, grunge fashion—characterized by casual blue jeans, plaid shirts, and sweats—rave culture, fanny packs and chokers have all made appearances on the runways. Among other hot looks, here is a list of classics you should add to your spring wardrobe now so you can stay on trend throughout the new season ahead.

Overalls
Short, long, light or dark, overalls are having their moment. Super cool and fun, overalls combined with comfy and casual footwear—the iconic look of the 90s—are officially the hottest trend right now. After seasons of skinny jeans and “jeggings,” we are particularly excited to know that designers are finally giving us another pant option with 90’s inspired loose-fitting overalls. To update your look, ditch your usual jeans and opt for classic blue overalls. Wear it teamed up with a lightweight striped tee, a statement necklace and a pair of simple sandals and you’ll have a chic look.

High-top sneakers
High-top sneakers are totally “in”. This season’s classic kicks come in fun patterns, textures, and colors—from subtle colors to bold prints. Simply slip them on and instantly punch up your basic striped pullover and boyfriend jeans look.

Crop tops
Crop tops are definitely transitioning into Spring/Summer 2016. The statement piece of the 90s, crop tops are the new fashion must-have this season. Go for an effortlessly chic style and wear them with a simple shirt under or a jacket over. High-waisted shorts, pencil skirts and pants are the perfect complement to crop tops. Pair the right bottom and instantly stylize the top!

Matching top & skirt
Probably one of the coolest ways to make a comeback, the “matching set” look is super hot at the moment. According to fashion magazines, neon spandex two-piece look is out and form-fitting top and skirt combos are in. For an evening out, swap your usual LBD (little black dress) for a tight beige knit top paired with a matching tight skirt in the same color as the top. Complete the look with a pair of stylish stilettos and you’ll be sure to make heads turn.

Choker necklaces
After a two-decade hiatus, chokers are coming back into fashion. Celebrities and top fashion bloggers have been rocking the super tight necklace in various designs—from simple black leather chokers and metal chokers to those decorated with dainty flowers. To add more drama, mix and match the choker with a chunky bracelet and a pair of bold earrings.

Inject the 90s vibe into your spring look now and stay stylish!
