The first annual GAON Chart K-Pop Awards was held on February 22nd at the Blue Square Samsung Card Hall in Yongsan, Seoul. Big time kpop acts like Super Junior, Wonder Girls, BEAST, IU, Girls Day, Secret, Heogak, B1A4, and A Pink along with even actors like Sohn Eun-seo, Kim Yoo-jung, Choi, Yoon-so, and Yoo Ri-ah were all in attendance. Joo Young-hoon and Girls Generation's Tae-yeon were the emcees for the event, which was also broadcast live.
