Four North Korean government officials will leave for a ten-day visit to the United States Thursday at the invitation of U.S.-based aid groups.

Washington-based Radio Free Asia quoted a U.S. State Department official as saying the visiting North Koreans will discuss food aid in detail with the U.S. government.

They are the first North Korean officials to visit the U.S. since U.S. President Barack Obama took office in January.
