Yemen’s Deputy Interior Minister Saleh Al-zowari says the recent bombing attack in his country that killed four South Korean tourists was apparently not aimed specifically at Koreans.

Al-zowari made the announcement on Tuesday during a meeting with a South Korean emergency countermeasure team that was dispatched by Seoul shortly after the bombing on Sunday.

The Yemeni official said the bombing was most likely a premeditated attack carried out by terrorists against unspecified targets, adding that Yemeni police are questioning numerous suspects linked to the bombings.

Al-zowari said his government is stepping up efforts to root out terrorism in the region.
