Korean-American Brothers Nominated to Senior US Posts

U.S. President Barack Obama has nominated Korean-American brothers to take positions in his administration.

Fifty-seven-year-old Koh Kyung-ju, an associate dean at the Harvard School of Public Health, was nominated to serve as assistant secretary of health in the Department of Health and Human Services. He previously served as a Massachusetts public health commissioner for seven years.

His younger brother, Koh Hong-ju, incumbent dean of Yale University’s law school, was nominated on Monday as State Department legal adviser. He served as an assistant secretary of state in charge of human rights and labor affairs under the Clinton administration.
