3 Koreans Killed in Guatemala

Three Koreans have been killed in Guatemala.

A 48-year old businessman, only identified by his surname Bak,who was running a textile importing company, and an employee of his company, 49-year old Hwang, were found stabbed to death early Tuesday morning in Bak’s residence in Guatemala City.

On March 19th in Mixco City, a 39-year-old golf range owner was attacked and killed by a gunman on a motorbike.

The Korean ambassador to the Latin American country urged the local police to thoroughly investigate the killings.

About ten-thousand Koreans are living in Guatemala. Seven thousand of them are businesspeople and their families, and the other three thousand have permanent residency.
