A leading Japanese daily says North Korea is preparing another launch of a short or mid-range missile in Wonsan near the East Sea.

The North is believed to be preparing to launch a projectile at its Musudan-ri site early next month.

The Sankei Shimbun quoted several Japanese government officials as saying the North is preparing a missile launch in addition to its announced rocket launch.

The date of the missile launch is not yet set, but the daily predicted that it will come immediately after the rocket launch.
