‘S.Korea’s Open-Market Plan to Unify G20’

U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner says South Korea’s economic stimulus and market opening measures will serve as a strong basis to achieve consensus among the participants of the upcoming Group of 20 Summit in London.

Geithner added that Seoul’s support for a global financial monitoring institution and economic reform will receive more support internationally than they ever have in decades past.

Meanwhile, Michael Froman, a deputy assistant to the White House National Security Council, said the Korea-U.S. summit on the sidelines of the G20 summit will focus on strategic issues, including the international economy and North Korea.
