‘No Korean Residents in Mexico Have Swine Flu’

No South Korean residents in Mexico are reported to have contracted swine flu.

Korea’s ambassador to Mexico, Cho Whan-bok, says there are no reports of any Korean resident having caught the virus.

A Korean doctor working at a hospital in Mexico’s “Zona Rosa” Korea town said many Koreans have visited hospitals since the outbreak of the flu, but none have contracted the deadly virus.

The doctor added that although there is no vaccine that prevents the flu, there is no danger as long as people adhere by basic sanitary measures.

Some 13-thousand Koreans are estimated to be living in Mexico.
