US Defense Secretary Robert Gates said that obtaining nuclear technology is easy for any country, and that the proliferation of the technology should be prevented.

During an interview with CNN, Secretary Gates also said that no international problems have been resolved without the U.S.

But he noted that the U.S. is not an imperial power but an "indispensable" power.

The Defense Secretary added that any country can have access to nuclear technology, saying the US needs to find ways to deal with the reality.
