CNN says a four-point-seven-magnitude earthquake has hit the northern part of North Korea.

Quoting the U.S. Geological Survey, the broadcaster said the earthquake occurred at 9:54 a.m. Monday in a region 375 kilometers northeast of Pyongyang.

The tremor was reportedly about ten kilometers below the ground.

CNN said the epicenter of the earthquake is several miles from the site where North Korea conducted its first nuclear test in October 2006.
