China has paid its respects to former South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu expressed China’s condolences to Roh's family in a news briefing Monday.

Ma said the Chinese government and its people will never forget Roh’s active efforts and major contributions to the development of South Korea-China ties.
