Clinton Urges Unified Response to NK Nuke Test

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has reportedly emphasized the importance of a quick, unified response to North Korea’s recent nuclear test.

State Department spokesman Ian Kelly said Clinton made the comment Tuesday when she spoke to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov over the phone.

Kelly said Clinton also spoke Tuesday to her counterparts from China, South Korea, Japan and Australia on the North’s recent provocative action.

Kelly said Clinton remains actively engaged in making sure the international community conveys a strong message to North Korea that Pyongyang will pay a hefty price for the path it’s on if it doesn’t reverse its current course.
