Clinton Stresses Commitment to S.Korea

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton denounced North Korea on Wednesday for, what she called, were the communist state’s most recent belligerent actions.

Clinton accused the North of continuing to act in a provocative and belligerent manner toward its neighboring countries. She then underscored the commitments the United States "has and intends to honor" toward South Korea and Japan.

Clinton said there will be consequences to the North’s recent saber-rattling and nuclear activities.

However, she added that the U.S. hopes there will be an opportunity for the North to come back into a framework of discussion within the six-party nuclear talks’ process.
