A Japanese daily says Tokyo believes North Korea may seek to launch an intercontinental ballistic missile within the next two months.

The Sankei Shimbun said the Japanese government recently spotted a cargo train transporting missile parts from a factory near Pyongyang.

The report said the North is apparently preparing to launch either its Daepodong-Two missile, which has a range of six-thousand kilometers, or an improved version of the Daepodong-Two. The daily said Pyongyang is also likely to simultaneously launch its medium-range Rodong missile, which has a range of 13-hundred kilometers.

The paper said attention is being drawn to which launch pad the North will use to launch its next missile.

Tokyo was reported as considering having its Self-Defense Forces make preparations to possibly intercept missiles as it had done when the North launched a rocket on April fifth.
