Survey: 65% of Japan Wants Stronger NK Sanctions

A new survey finds that two out of three Japanese citizens believe Tokyo should independently strengthen sanctions against North Korea in the wake of its second nuclear test.

According to the survey conducted by Japanese broadcaster NHK on some one-thousand adults, 65 percent of respondents stressed the need for Tokyo to unilaterally place stronger sanctions on Pyongyang.

Only eight percent said there is no need for stronger sanctions.
