Forbes Praises Hyundai Motor

A U.S. business magazine says that although the global auto industry is in shambles this year, Hyundai Motor is not.

Forbes quoted the latest J.D. Power and Associates quality study as saying that the South Korean carmaker was the highest ranked nonpremium nameplate in the study, beating Mercedes-Benz, Ford Motor, Honda and Toyota.

Hyundai received the fourth-highest ranking overall behind Lexus, Porsche and Cadillac.

In a report entitled "Year of the Hyundai," Forbes.com said that the carmaker increased its market share to four-point-two percent in the first five months of this year, when rivals like Toyota and Honda suffered from declining sales.

Forbes also said that Hyundai has improved the quality of its products.
