UN Head Second Most Trusted Global Leader

A survey shows that U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is the world's second most trusted leader.

In a poll of 19,224 people in 20 countries, conducted by World Public Opnion at the University of Maryland, the U.N. head received the second highest rating behind U.S. President Barack Obama.

He earned a confidence rating of 40 percent on average; however, 35 percent of respondents expressed low confidence in him.

Eleven countries expressed confidence in the U.N. chief, seven countries did not and two countries were divided.
