US Delegation Heads to Beijing to Discuss NK Sanctions

A U.S. delegation left for Beijing Tuesday for talks with Chinese officials on implementing U.N. Security Council sanctions against North Korea for conducting a second nuclear test on May 25th.

The delegation led by former U.S. Ambassador to Bolivia Philip Goldberg includes senior officials from the State, Defense and Treasury departments and the White House, as well as Undersecretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Stuart Levey.

The delegation will meet with Chinese officials to discuss how to implement U.N. sanctions against Pyongyang.
