US Vulnerable to Cyber, Electromagnetic Pulse Attacks

A U.S. representative says that despite an increased threat, the U.S. is not properly prepared to counter cyber attacks or electromagnetic pulse attacks, should they occur.

Yvette Clarke, the Chairwoman of the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee's Subcommittee on Emerging Threats, Cybersecurity, and Science and Technology said Tuesday that cyber attacks and electromagnetic pulse attacks pose serious threats to individuals and the security of nations in modern society.

Russia, China, North Korea and Iran and many other countries possess the capability to launch cyber attacks, and terrorist groups, such as Hezbollah and Al Qaida, are enhancing their ability to do so.
