NK Cargo Ship Halted in Cyprus

A North Korean-flagged cargo ship has been seized by Cyprus authorities on smuggling charges.
The Cyprus Coast Guard halted the North Korean freighter 16 kilometers off the coast of the island during an attempt to smuggle some one million packs of cigarette from the city of Famagusta in Cyprus to Egypt.
The Cyprus court called for an eight-day detention of the Egyptian captain and three sailors from Lebanon and Syria.
