Hyundai Motor says its sales in the United States jumped substantially in July.

Hyundai Motor America says it sold 45-thousand cars in the U.S. last month, up 20 percent from June and 12 percent year-on-year.

Sales have been on the rise since April.

Kia Motors, under the Hyundai Kia Automotive Group, said its sales also grew close to five percent to 29-thousand cars in July year-on-year in the U.S. market.
