AP: Kim DJ Unites Koreas Even in Death

Foreign media say North Korea’s sending of a delegation to former President Kim Dae-jung’s funeral ceremony has helped warm inter-Korean relations.

In an article titled “Even in death, Kim Dae-jung unites Koreas,” the Associated Press said the North Korean delegates’ relay of a message from leader Kim Jong-il to South Korean President Lee Myung-bak was a fitting breakthrough on a day of mourning for a man who fought relentlessly for unification and peace.

CNN also covered the funeral and the North Korean delegation’s visit to Seoul, saying that inter-Korea relations have been warmed.

BBC said Kim’s death has had a positive effect on inter-Korean relations.
