The South Korean blockbuster film “Haeundae” has opened in Beijing, Shanghai and other major Chinese cities.

Over seven hundred Chinese theaters are screening the South Korean movie.

The movie’s production company is expecting high ticket sales since it signed a wide release agreement with China’s state-run film distributor, a move also made by Hollywood production firms.

The director and cast of "Haeundae" held a large-scale promotional event in Shanghai ahead of the film's release.
