Ethnic minority employees have settled for one-point-eight million dollars in compensation following a racial discrimination suit lodged against the city authorities of Kennesaw in the U.S. state of Georgia.

Two city employees and one former worker, including one ethnic Korean and two African-Americans, filed a racial discrimination suit against the mayor and six other city officials with the U.S. District Court in Atlanta in March this year.

The law firm representing the plaintiffs said the city is not required to admit any wrongdoing as part of the settlement.

The suit detailed a number of discriminatory actions on behalf of the employees for the city’s Public Works Department, including multiple culturally insensitive e-mails.
