Asahi: Korea-China-Japan Prep for October Summit

A Japanese daily says South Korea, China and Japan are coordinating schedules in hopes of holding summit talks in Tianjin, China, on October eighth.

Asahi Shimbun reported Tuesday that Japan’s incoming prime minister, Yukio Hatoyama, will highlight the importance of Asian cooperation at the summit.

Another Japanese daily, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, projected that the trilateral summit talks will open within the year after they were postponed due to the Japanese election last month.
