US to Send Bosworth to NK in Mid-December

The United States has reportedly decided to send its special representative for North Korea Stephen Bosworth to the North in mid-December for a bilateral meeting.

Washington and Pyongyang are reportedly holding behind-the-scenes consultations to discuss the specific date for the talks.

Over the course of the next few weeks leading up to the meeting, Washington is likely to review the results of the discussions President Barack Obama has with South Korea, China and Japan during his current Asia tour. All three nations are members of the six-way nuclear talks.

The U.S. State Department confirmed Bosworth’s visit, saying that Washington has already notified Pyongyang.
