Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade says his government will fully cooperate with South Korean companies seeking to advance into West African nations.
In an exclusive interview with Seoul-based Yonhap News at his presidential palace in Dakar, Wade pointed out that the westernmost African country's international airport and seaport can be a beachhead for South Korean firms to advance into West Africa.
On the invitation of President Lee Myung-bak, the Senegalese president will arrive in Seoul on Sunday and hold bilateral summit talks on Monday.
The two leaders will discuss cooperation in the economic and trade sectors and the joint development of energy resources.
Wade stressed that Senegal welcomes South Korean investment in all sectors, including agriculture, tourism, construction and architecture.
During his four-day visit, he will make an opening speech at the second Korea-Africa forum and receive an honorary doctorate degree from Sookmyung Women’s University.
