Reports: Saipan Gunman was Korean Chinese

Media reports say the gunman in Friday's shooting spree in Saipan was a 30-something Chinese man of Korean descent who wielded a semiautomatic rifle.

The Saipan Internet news portal Pacific News Center says he worked at a shooting range but grew frustrated after failing to open more ranges elsewhere. The report says he left behind a suicide note on a business deal gone bad.

The gunman killed four people then turned his gun on himself. Reports say he had an AR-15 rifle, air gun, revolver and bullets he brought from the range at the time of the shooting.

The Pacific News Center identified the gunman as Lee Zhongren.

Four of the six Koreans wounded in the shooting returned home Saturday night.
