UN Human Rights Council Holds Session on NK

North Korea says it no longer has a malnutrition problem.

The North made the remark in response to a question posed about its undernourished children and women during a U.N. Human Rights Council session held in Geneva, Switzerland, on Tuesday.

The North Korean delegation in attendance for the session said the international community has levied undue politically motivated criticism on the North, including for its treatment of North Korean escapees who were repatriated to the communist country.

The delegation said that the public executions the North has been criticized for were carried out only in one or two extraordinary cases.

The North Korean delegates include the North Korean ambassador to Geneva, officials of the Ministry of Public Health and a senior judge of the Central Court.
