Thai Authorities Study NK Weapons Found on Plane

Thai authorities are investigating the weapons from North Korea that were found on a cargo plane seized last Saturday in Bangkok.

Local media said the Thai government transported the weapons to a military base in Nakhon Sawan Province.

Panitan Wattanayagorn, a spokesman for the Thai prime minister, said preliminary investigations found that the cargo aircraft, which was registered with the Eurasian nation of Georgia, contained weapons such as rocket-propelled grenades and shoulder-launched rockets.

The spokesman said an investigation on the seals and containers of the weapons will also be carried out with the help of arms experts.
