'NK, Iran Won't Give up Nukes thru Talks'

A leading conservative and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton predicts that neither North Korea nor Iran will give up nuclear weapons through negotiations.

In a commentary titled “Global Threats” contributed to the Washington Times, Bolton said Iran and North Korea have so far spurned President Barack Obama's "open hand" and are buying time to advance their nuclear and ballistic missile efforts.

He said the two states are extracting tangible economic and political benefits from the U.S. and others and their current unwillingness to talk shows they think they can extract an even higher price from Obama.

Bolton said that if Pyongyang and Tehran keep their nuclear capabilities, the risks of further proliferation are palpable and threatening.
