The foreign ministry's Deputy Minister Lee Yong-joon will pay a three-day visit to Jordan from Saturday to discuss collaboration plans on building nuclear power plants.

He plans to meet with Khaled Toukan, Chairman of Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC), to discuss follow-up measures to the designation of preferred bidders for the construction of nuclear power plants.

Lee will also attend a meeting for special representatives from Afghanistan and Pakistan that will be held in Abu Dhabi in the UAE on Tuesday. He will present Korea’s plans to provide support to Afghanistan at the meeting, including those regarding the Korean provincial reconstruction team (PRT).

He will then visit Nepal from Wednesday to discuss bilateral issues with its minister and vice minister for foreign affairs.
