Korean Aid Workers to Head to Haiti

South Korea will send a group of emergency relief workers to Haiti to help rescue survivors and relieve the damage inflicted after a magnitude seven earthquake rocked the nation on Wednesday, Korean time.

The National Emergency Management Agency said a staff of 35 comprised of international emergency rescue workers, medical staff and members of the Korea International Cooperation Agency would soon depart from Incheon International Airport with rescue dogs and equipment.

The South Korean rescue team will help find and save survivors and help relieve the suffering of people in afflicted areas.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry said it has restricted travel to Haiti due to deteriorations in local security.
