Married actors Cha In-pyo and Shin Ae-ra have donated 100 million won to the international child sponsorship organization “Korean Friends of Compassion” to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The couple has sponsored a ten-year-old Haitian girl for the past five years and, according the organization, is anxious to determine whether or not she is safe.
World figure skating champion Kim Yu-na made a 100-million-won donation of her own to UNICEF Korea for efforts to assist Haiti.
