Advertisements advocating Korea’s sovereignty over the Dokdo islets in the East Sea will be shown in New York’s Times Square and Koreatown starting next month.

South Korean public relations expert Seo Gyeong-deok said that the Dokdo ads will be seen on outdoor signboards in the two districts.

He expects that the ads will help young people of Korean descent who were born and grew up overseas understand the Dokdo issue.
