USTR: Finding Solution to Autos, Beef to Ratify FTA

The U.S. Trade Representative says that if concerns about automobile and beef trade are resolved, it will discuss with Congress a timetable to ratify a free trade agreement with South Korea.

In its annual report to Congress, the U.S. Trade Representative said it's looking for the best way to resolve the contentious auto and beef issues.

The report said the Obama administration believes that ratifying the FTA will bring considerable economic and strategic benefits, but that significant doubt exists within the U.S. on some of the trade deal's provisions.
