Anti-Racism Rally in Russia Following Korean Death

An anti-racism rally was held in Russia in the aftermath of the death of a Korean student who was killed by a group of Russian youth.

Interfax News says local civic groups held the rally Sunday in downtown Novosibirsk in the Russian Far East and denounced race-based hate crimes.

A 22-year-old Korean was killed by a group of Russian youth in the city of Barnaul near Novosibirsk on February 15th. His female companion sustained minor injuries.

Russian police are investigating three suspects on assault charges but have not disclosed a motive for the crime.
