US: No Decision Made on NK Envoy’s Visit

The U.S. says that no decision has been made in regards to a potential visit to the U.S. by North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye-kwan.

State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters Wednesday in Washington that although there have been inquiries about a visa for Kim, a decision on the issue has yet to be made.

Yonhap news agency in Seoul said the North Korean vice foreign minister may visit Washington next week.

Crowley added that the U.S. remains concerned about potential nuclear cooperation between North Korea and Myanmar.
