South Korea, China and Japan have established a joint tourism cooperation system ahead of the Shanghai World Expo 2010 set to open in May.

The vice chief of Shanghai's tourism bureau on Thursday told reporters that the three nations' cities of Shanghai, Busan and Osaka have formed a "Golden Triangle" organization to attract more visitors to the cities and to develop the Asian tourism market.

The Golden Triangle will facilitate exchanges of tourism information among the three nations and will promote tourist destinations. It will also provide services for tourists.

Shanghai expects about three-and-a-half million people will visit the city during the expo, mostly from South Korea and Japan.
